The original Heatwave 2 was designed and made for a longstanding Canberra Region (Murrumbateman) client who wanted a functional piece that added the warmth of natural timber and handmade elegance to her country house. Evan took the opportunity to make a second, nearly identical Heatwave 2 for the Dunstone Design gallery.
Heatwave 2 features rock maple internals, adding a layer of surprise to the piece. The subtle fluting on the doors catches the light and plays games with texture.
Heatwave 2 feature our signature Eyeline Handles with triple fluted floating panels and Brusso offset pivot hinges. The jarrah has been carefully selected and colour matched for ultimate impact. The internal elements are made from rock maple.
The dramatic top detail of Heatwave 2 suggests an Asian echo which we think of as “fusion furniture”.
