Barr Premium Workbench

We were tempted to name the Barr Premium Workbench the “Whole Nine Yards” bench. Anthony, a sheep farmer from near Adelaide, contacted Evan wanting a bench that “did everything”. He specified a Cosman Premium Shoulder Vice and Moxon vice as well as HNT Gordon Wide Face Vice, Tail Vice and Patternmakers Vice (on a utility arm). The front of the bench has ample storage in big, practical drawers on full extension runners and the back will be fitted with brackets by the new owner for holding clamps. The client had clear ideas about what he wanted, but he was also open to our ideas and advice.

The Barr Premium shows how good a bespoke bench can be. Anthony said “don’t hold yourselves back, fellas”, so we didn’t. Alex made this bench with exceptional attention to detail and the result was beautiful and practical.

Lots of good work is made on bad benches and lots of bad work is made on good benches. All we can say is that a bench this good sets you up for success.
