Tall Confluence Objet D’art Stand in Blackwood.
The Confluence leg-pod concept was developed while Evan was teaching as a visiting artist at the ANU School of Art under Dr. Rodney Haywood. It was originally an exercise to demonstrate to students that table tops could be structural as well as just a working surface. By following his own logic, he realized that there was a whole family of furniture forms that could be built around the leg-pod concept. This particular design is a hybrid of both the Confluence range and the Stork/Dancer range.
The original Confluence Objet D’art Stand was commissioned by George and Jenny, a Canberra couple who already owned a magnificent red gum Confluence dining table. In the same commission they ordered a Confluence Coffee Table, a Stork Side Table and four Clearwater chairs. Now their house looks almost better than our showroom!
Named for the purpose of displaying beautiful works of art, the tall Confluence Objet D’art stand in blackwood fulfils that role and acts as subtle art itself. This version is taller than our standard Objet D’Art stand, coming in at 950mm.
