The clients knew what they needed to store and display, but had no pre-conceived design in mind. They had existing furniture that they liked, but they didn't want this piece to “match” the the older furniture, just be in sympathy with it. The final design was arrived at after two house calls.

"The key to a good commission is a clear brief. The brief should center around the budget and the physical requirements. An indication of aesthetic preferences is helpful, but sometimes it can act as a barrier to fresh ideas. These clients gave a great brief and recieved a good solution as a result." -Evan Dunstone.
