SUMMARY:The Fluted Form
DESCRIPTION:Master Carver Hape Kiddle returns to Dunstone Design for a very special two-day intensive class aimed at the experienced carver. Participants will design and make a small piece which incorporates the carving of flutes. A particular focus will be exploring methods for laying out fluting sweetly in relationship to the form. Students will use modelling to realise the design from two-dimensional drawings. This will be an intimate small-group class limited to just 6 students. \nThe class runs 8:30am to 4pm\, Thursday 15th and Friday 16th October\, 2026. \nTickets are not transferable. \nThe full cost of the course is $880 incl. GST (includes materials). Students are encouraged to bring their own tools. \nThis is an advanced course is suitable for woodworkers with carving experience. \nWhat to wear. \nPlease wear enclosed stout footwear.  \nWhat to bring; \nIn addition to your personal tools\, please bring a note-book and/or sketch book. \nMorning tea/coffee will be provided. Please bring your own lunch.
