The Cascade is designed as a working rocker. It is for those who sit for long periods and wish to stay alert. It has a short rocking action and a beautiful balance. Ideal for the elderly, it is also practical as a work chair for the home office.

The Cascade was based on the Academic chair and the original was made for Melbourne based Philosophy lecturer Aubrey Townsend. He desired a chair that kept him moving while he sat reading for work or listening to opera. Swedish designer/maker Rasmus Malbert worked with Evan on the Cascade over a seven week period.

Dimensions: 990mm H x 631mm W x 800mm D
Timber Types: blackwood or jarrah. Other timbers available on request (P.O.A.).
