ANU Boardroom Table
P.O.A.

In 2009 the Australian National University commissioned Dunstone Design to design and craft an "iconic and quintisentially Australian" boardroom table for their new School of Business and Economics building. In addition to the main table, they also commisioned six ceremonial chairs and three matching side tables.

The complex brief called for the design to be made in solid river red gum, with one end of the table detachable. At 6.4 m long and 3m wide, the resulting piece is, to the best of our knowledge, the largest solid timber river red gum table in the world.

The intricate build process was photographed on a weekly basis by Lisa McKelvie of Redzebra Photography. The table has been registered by the ANU on their art collection register. Please enjoy some images of our team at work.
