It’s often difficult to find a refined piece of furniture ideal for displaying a precious object. The original Confluence Hall Stand was commissioned by a Canberra couple who wanted to display a bronze bust. The Confluence Hall Stand is at home in an entrance way, a living room or even a music room. Just about every house has a room with a "difficult" corner that needs just the right piece to balance it.

The Confluence leg structure is a re-occurring theme in Dunstone Design furniture. The original use of this form was first expressed in The Dancer in 2005. The Dancer was awarded “Best in Show” at the Australian Craft Show the following year. The curved leg support was inspired by the visible tendon on the back leg of a whippet.

Dimensions: 750mm L x 430mm x 430mm
Timber Types: red gum (pictured), jarrah blackwood and Tasmanian myrtle. Other timbers available (POA).
“There is something very satisfying about the proportions of this piece. It has great presence without dominating a space.”- Evan Dunstone.
